We, here at Taftville Congregational Church are sponsoring a child from Africa.

Her name is Realeboga Bagwasi and she lives in Francistown, Botswana, Africa.

She is at the Lephoi Centre, Hostel for Blind Children. 

Realeboga is 9 years old.

Her birth date is April 29, 1995.

She has 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

She came to the center in August 2002.

She likes group activities and is very sociable. 

She needs help in her development processes.

Over the next couple months, we hope to get to know Realeboga better.

Information about the LEPHOI CENTRE FOR THE BLIND

This center is located in Francistown, Botswana. The residential center is a hostel for about 50 children that are totally blind or have seriously impaired vision. The children range from eight to 18 years old. They are taught braille in English and Setswana and other important living skills. when the children are ready, they are integrated as far as possible with other children at the same educational level. The hostel is administered by the Botswana Synod of the United Congregational Church of Southern Africa.

To the Taftville Congregational Family,

 I greet you all and I hope you are all fine. My apologies for not replying earlier I eventually went for a holiday and we just opened school this week.

 I would like to thank you for the beautiful card you sent me and the gift of clothes for the others. May the Lord bless you back richly.

 We are entering winter season here and the cold is coming. I think your winters are colder than here but I still think I will be cold I love summer.

 Please greet all the church family.

I will write again when I receive a letter from you.

Dear Taftville Church parents

Greetings to everyone in the name of Our Lard Jesus Christ.  How is the continent that side?  I hope everyone is happy and fine especially to have me as your chosen daughter "Realeboga Bagwasi."

I am a girl of nine years and doing standard three at Phatlhogo Primary School.  My class teacher is Ms. Sethapo.  My home village is Matshelagabed.  I enjoy playing Holla-hops and skipping rope with other children in the centre.  My best friend at school is Girly Tlhabano who is in the same class with me.  I received very special items from your church which I liked very much and so excited to receive which are vests, t-shirts, trousers, panties and sweets which I enjoyed and at with my friends Tebogo, Galeage, Gadzo, Sithembile.  May God bless you and protect you always.

I also enjoy my stay at Lephoi during school days because I am never beaten or shouted at.  I hope to receive more news from your church.  Lots of love from Realeboga
