about the “Green
Church” in Taftville
Connecticut
. Our church was built on the dreams of Deacon Samuel Prentice, an
employee of Ponemah Mills. Deacon Prentice prayed and worked to have our
church become a presence in the Taftville Community. Sadly though, Deacon
Prentice never saw his dream turn into a reality. He passed away soon after the
foundation work began.
Almost one hundred years later, we continue the dream of Deacon
Prentice, providing ministry to our surrounding community. The dedications
of our members and friends over the years have kept one man’s dreams
alive. We are now moving into the future sharing the fellowship of Christ
with God’s love to all.
It is through the many gifts that we have been a welcoming presence
to those who are in need and seek a relationship with God. As you look
through the rest of this site, stop and pray for the ministries that we
provide. Give thanks to God for the lives past and the lives of the
present and future, as we continue to seek God’s direction through the
example of our Savior Jesus Christ.
My prayer for you:
Loving
God, I pray for those who are in need this day, that they may feel the
warmth of your spirit in their lives. I am
thankful for our friends and visitors to this site and the gifts
they bring. Protective God, keep us under your umbrella of protection
as we face our day to day
activities. Remind us always of your unfailing love for us.
